Lough Erne Challenge:
Presented by Lakelands & Inland Waterways
The 2010 Lough Erne Challenge presented by Lakelands & Inland Waterways will take place on Wednesday 21st July at The Faldo Course, Lough Erne Resort. In a unique, one-day event Northern Ireland, represented by Lough Erne Resort’s Touring Professional, Rory McIlroy, and Dungannon’s Darren Clarke, will take on a Republic of Ireland team represented by three times Major champion Padraig Harrington and the reigning Irish Open champion Shane Lowry. This will mark the very first time that teams representing Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland have faced off in a professional golf competition. The event will be an 18 hole fourball match that will be played on The Faldo Course at Lough Erne Resort. At last year’s inaugural Lough Erne Challenge, Rory McIlroy, shooting a course record 68 (four under par), defeated Padraig Harrington, who shot a round of 70 (two under par). Tickets Tickets for The 2010 Lough Erne Challenge presented by Lakelands & Inland Waterways will be available for purchase beginning Monday 31st May. There are no concession prices for juniors or OAPs. 5,000 tickets will be made available for purchase.
